Q: What does purchasing a subject, like English or Maths, get me?
A: You get a Teacher Guide, which contains all of the achievement standards which the student needs to master to complete the year level for that subject. Each achievement standard has been taken from the current Australian Curriculum and rewritten to eliminate 'teacher speak'. A variety of activities has been provided for each achievement standard, including games, role plays, excursions and of course worksheets. For most if not all selection criteria you should be able to pick and choose your activities to suit the learning style and preferences of your child. A list of suggested resources and ways to document evidence of learning are also provided. Printable resources will be provided to you electronically, other resources such as books, old magazines or dice you will source for yourself.
Q: Do I need to buy anything else for my child to complete the subject?
A: We suggest that you buy scrapbooks to contain your child's work. Apart from that no. However, you may choose to buy some things to make your life easier such as teacher stamps, a laminator for reuseable worksheets or posters etc.
